[VAC2DETECTED] ECC v5.2 release thread (pages 2-4)

A flagged 2006 CS 1.6 multi-hack that kept getting bumped by newbies asking 'where's the download link?' for over a year straight.

This was the tail end of a long-running release thread for 'ECC v5.2', a Counter-Strike 1.6 multi-hack (aimbot, wallhack, ESP, speedhack, bunnyhop, and more) originally posted by k0rn_h0li0 back in late 2006 and later marked VAC Detected/Not Working. By the time of these pages (late 2007 into early 2008) the thread had become a graveyard of one-line bumps — 'nice', 'unhide', 'ty' — mostly from low-post-count Noobs trying to get the hidden download unlocked, alongside a couple of confused reports of the speedhack breaking a user's connection. It's a good snapshot of the site's cheat-release culture: heavy reliance on 'unhide' replies to farm posts/access, occasional troubleshooting, and the eventual fate of most releases being detected by Valve Anti-Cheat and archived as historical relics rather than usable tools.

Guys tell me one thing, i ran this hack and put the speed to 100, ok now i disconnected when i tryed to refresh or connect to any server, its working 100x faster :/— Captmario

[VAC2 Proof] HoH Hook v1 release thread

A 2007 cheat release that racked up eleven pages of 'thx' before someone said 'it doesn't work for me'

This was a release thread in the CS:S 'VAC Proof Releases' board where Co-Manager Shifty posted the 'HoH Hook v1' cheat (credited to HouseOfSyndrome and several coders), touting aimbot, ESP, no-recoil and speedhack features as VAC2-safe. The reply section is the usual mix of hype, virus-scan link sharing to reassure skeptics, quick thanks from the regulars, and one early report that it didn't work — a familiar rhythm for how these release threads played out before eventually getting reclassified as detected or dead.

Rules of the Release Section

The pinned post that kept the cheat-releases forum from drowning in trojans — and put Malware, PaRaNoID and AKULA in charge of the gate.

A staff-posted rules thread pinned in the CS:S 'VAC Proof Releases' subforum, laid down by moderator Malware. It set the process for submitting hack releases (PM a mod first for vetting, or get banned) and explained the forum's own risk-rating labels for cheats, from 'Vac2 Proof' down to 'Vac2 Detected'. It's a small but telling artifact of how these cheat-scene forums tried to self-police against malware and scams while still running an active release board.

If you have something to release pm PaRaNoID or AKULA or Malware the description and a download link.— Malware
I'm sick to death of people not reading rules and posting up trojans.— Malware

[VAC2DETECTED] mainzoHook v.0.1.1

A once 'VAC2 proof' OpenGL hack for CS 1.6/CS:S gets its release thread quietly retitled to DETECTED.

This was the release/announcement thread for mainzoHook v0.1.1, an OpenGL-based cheat by 'mainzr' offering wallhacks, wireframe mode, a simple antirecoil, and a toggleable in-game menu. Posted right at the close of 2007 by a prolific staff member (NoNamE!/mr.N0Nam3), it originally advertised the release as proofed against VAC and VAC2, but the thread title was later amended to mark it as VAC2 detected — a common fate for public cheat releases of the era. The post itself is a fairly standard cheat-release template: feature list, usage steps, changelog, known bugs, and credits to several other scene contributors whose code was borrowed or built upon.

Hack menu drops fps very badly, on my comp like 5 fps but try to— NoNamE!

HeadZots v2.4 - Fkn0wned.Com

The classic CS 1.6 'VAC Proof' release thread — patch notes for a hack, circa 2008.

A 2008 release post in the VAC Proof Releases subforum for Counter-Strike 1.6, announcing version 2.4 of a cheat called HeadZots. The post lists usage instructions, claimed anti-detection protections, a credits list crediting several named contributors and outside cheat groups (OGC, mp-hacks.de), and detailed changelogs for the prior v2.3 public release and the new v2.4 fixes. Posted by MessiaH, a high-post-count Co-Manager, it's a snapshot of the era's cheat-scene culture of public 'VAC proof' tool drops with version tracking and community credit-giving.

Fkn0wned Hack Policy (VAC Proof Releases)

The fine-print post every hack downloader on Fkn0wned had to read first.

A short pinned-style notice posted by member KZA (aka 'blaze.') laying out Fkn0wned.com's disclaimer for the VAC Proof Releases section of the Counter-Strike 1.6 forum. It explains that the site categorized cheats as VAC2-proof or detected, tried to keep statuses updated, but took no responsibility for bans, framing all downloads as the user's own risk and choice. It's a classic early cheat-scene liability disclaimer rather than a discussion thread, capturing the site's tagline 'We Moderate Your Fun!' and its VAC cat-and-mouse era.

We do not take any responsibility for VAC2 bans.— KZA

VAC Detected / Not Working - Counter-Strike 1.6 Cheat Status Board

Where every Counter-Strike 1.6 hack went to die: the graveyard board tracking which cheats got VAC-banned into oblivion.

This was a sub-board of Fkn0wned's Counter-Strike 1.6 'VAC Proof Releases' section, dedicated specifically to tracking which cheats and hacks had been flagged as [VAC2DETECTED] or [VAC2UNKNOWN] by Valve Anti-Cheat. It's an index page listing dozens of cheat release threads (aimbots, wallhacks, ESPs, hooks) mostly posted and maintained by staff like DCLXVI, with community members reporting back on detection status. The board captures the constant cat-and-mouse rhythm of the cheat scene circa January 2008 — new tool drops, users test it, and inevitably it gets tagged detected within days or weeks. Notable regulars/coders mentioned include Christ (Project VDC: Redux), haha.1 (SSE - Super Simple ESP), rnie (bi0la PE-Gordon), and mr.N0Nam3 (seren1ty aimbot).
