HvH v1 — the CSS cheat that didn't stay undetected for long
Released 'VAC proof,' locked and tagged VAC2 DETECTED within the year — a classic Fkn0wned cheat-thread arc.
A March 2009 release thread in Fkn0wned's Counter-Strike: Source downloads section, where member f0wh posted 'HvH v1,' a loader-based multi-feature cheat (aimbot, ESP, glow/chams, bunny hop, speed hack, etc.) claimed undetected at launch. Early replies were the usual mix of thanks and confused users asking how to open the menu or bind keys, followed by reports it had stopped working. By September 2009 a mod/banned member confirmed it had become VAC2 detected, and the thread was archived under 'Detected Hacks' with the title updated to reflect its fall from grace — a pretty typical lifecycle for cheats on the board.

EliteHax.net CSS-Xtreme V2 Cracked (VAC2 Detected)
A cracked CSS cheat drops, everyone begs 'unhide,' and it's already flagged detected in the title.
webbdogg posts a cracked copy of the EliteHax.net 'CSS-Xtreme V2' cheat for Counter-Strike: Source, listing its usual grab-bag of aimbot, ESP, chams, and misc features. The thread title already marks it as VAC2 detected, but that doesn't stop a long line of members chiming in with low-effort 'unhide,' 'ty,' and 'plz' replies to unlock the hidden download link, plus a brief exchange about why the content was hidden (suspected virus-scan dodge) and a promise from the OP to add a scan. It's a classic snapshot of the forum's Detected Hacks subforum grind: rapid cheat releases, quick detection, and a community mostly just farming replies for access.

[VAC2DETECTED][CSS] VIP CS:S HACKS — eskimo's dump of dead cheats
A pile of once-'VIP' CS:S hacks gets dumped, flagged detected, and quietly outed as trojan bait — cue two pages of 'unhide' spam.
In the Detected Hacks subforum of the Counter-Strike: Source section, member eskimo posted a batch of previously premium/VIP CS:S cheat menus (Deviant Cheats, eC_2, Gangsta-Pwnage, HaxeD, Phoenix_hook, w4r_menu, HS VIP) noting they were now VAC detected, with the content hidden behind a reply-to-unlock wall. Fellow member Paiin quickly followed up with a real antivirus scan showing several of the files were actually flagged as trojan downloaders/game-thief malware rather than clean cheats. Despite that warning, the rest of the two-page thread is the classic low-effort reply grind — dozens of members posting 'unhide', 'thanks', 'lets see' just to unlock the hidden download links. The thread is now locked, a typical fate for these old detected-hack dump threads once they'd run their course.
Scanned with a REAL anti-virus. Not some freeware garbage.— Paiin
All of these are detected, also i scanned these with norton 360 and it did not find anything.. but still use at own risk— eskimo

pubh0ok 1.8 — the CSS cheat that VAC2 caught up with
A hyped 'VAC2 Proof at release' CSS cheat, live for five months before it joined the graveyard of Detected Hacks.
f0wh posted pubh0ok 1.8, an N-Vision-based aimbot/ESP package for Counter-Strike: Source, billed as VAC2-proof on release with a loaded feature list (aimbot options, multiple ESPs, bunnyhop, spinbot, anti-aim, and more). The credits line took a jab at 'Project Detox' for allegedly reskinning the same source code as a 'VIP Edition.' A handful of members asked basic setup/aimbot-tuning questions before moderator Skippy eventually flagged it as VAC2 detected and moved it to the Detected Hacks graveyard, locking the thread for good.

And of course, Project Detox for stealing this source code and calling it Project Detox VIP Edition!— f0wh

SIMPLECSSHACK V5.5 (by Slickz) — Detected Hacks
A patched-up CS:S cheat drops in the Detected Hacks graveyard, gets its obligatory pile of 'unhide' replies, then gets locked.
This is a release thread in the Counter-Strike: Source > Detected Hacks subforum, where user Slickz posted version 5.5 of a cheat called SIMPLECSSHACK, billed as a bugfix update over 5.4. The actual download content has since been removed from the archived page, leaving mostly the ritual back-and-forth of members replying 'unhide' or short thanks to reveal/access the hidden content. A moderator (SNK) closed the thread the next day, as was standard practice once a hack was marked detected/outdated.
